Curious about the world

Mayuran Kasinathan is a trainee at our company. He was attracted by the familiar name of MAN, although he knew but very little about the activities of MAN Ferrostaal at first. Every three months the 22-year-old is now moving from department to department where he learns new fields of activities. "After just six months I had gained some deep insights into the company. From the outset I was fascinated above all by the many cultures that you met every day and the help and assistance given so freely by my colleagues."

A cosmopolitan of Sri Lankan descent, Kasinathan is greatly attracted to the training that might even promise him deployment abroad after successful completion. "I take great pleasure in my business profession. The stimulating contact with colleagues, clients, and suppliers abroad make you curious about the world. Even when you should sometimes come up against language barriers." Yet he does not hesitate to face this challenge too, and is studying for a certificate as a foreign language correspondent in addition to his qualification as a wholesale, import, and export merchant. A tight schedule: "School, additional inhouse theory, and learning from my day's work at the departments place great demands on me. At the same time they give me a good feeling of setting up a sound basis for my future here."
