Change in Executive Board of MAN Ferrostaal AG
Wolfgang Knothe successor to Axel Wippermann

Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Knothe (48) has been appointed by the Supervisory Board of MAN Ferrostaal AG as a new member of the Executive Management Board with effect from 1 October 2005. He will take over the position of Dr.-Ing. Axel Wippermann (65), who is retiring from the Executive Management Board of MAN Ferrostaal AG on 31 December 2005. As of 1 January 2006, Dr. Knothe will assume responsibility for the Industrial Projects and Contracting Division.
After studying mechanical engineering and taking his doctorate at Aachen Technical University, Dr. Knothe began his career at Uhde GmbH (today part of ThyssenKrupp AG). Subsequently, he was a managing director at DSD Dillinger Stahlbau GmbH with responsibility for its Industrial Fitting and Plant Engineering Services in Latin America, Asia and Africa, and at Lurgi Öl-Gas-Chemie GmbH with responsibility for Technology, Operations and Engineering. Most recently, he worked as a project director for international companies.
